April, Hailey's most favorite month.....because it's her birthday.  My little girl turned five.  Time has gone by so fast and she is so grown up for her age but I still see her as my "little girl".  She's growing up way too fast.   I can hardly believe she'll be starting Kindergarten next year.  Hailey is ready to take on the world.  We have quite an adventure a head of us.

Hailey's birthday was just a couple of days after Easter this year.  It was such a fun Easter.  Both kids were so excited for the Easter Bunny and finding eggs in the morning.  After church we headed out to Aunt Gerry's and with the beautiful sunny day we have a fantastic egg hunt and so much fun visiting family.

Hailey has been taking gymnastics on Tuesday mornings.  In April she was invited to join a pre team class that is by invite only.  So Hailey has moved to Thursday evening gymnastics.  They are doing much more "real" gymnastics.  It's harder work but she seems to like.  I'm not sure she has the personality for competitive gymnastics but we will see where this takes us.

The month has been filled with baseball.  Lots of practices and games (3-4 days  week).  Tyler and Dave has been doing a lot of practicing (Dave is in heaven) and Tyler continues to improve.  He's loving the season.  Tyler has such a passion for sports in general.  Whatever he's currently playing he gives his all.  By the time he gets home from school all he really wants to do is move, whatever form it can take....baseball, soccer, basketball, or just plain running around.

Tyler received the AR (reading test program) award this month again for the 3rd month in a row.  We are very proud of him and all his hard work.

Dave has been swamped at work with way too many cased and not nearly enough time.

As for me, I've been swamped with doctors appointments and have had just about enough.  Multiple doctors for multiple issues and it seems to be the only thing I do on the Mondays that Dave is around.  Hopefully things will start to improve soon.

Big happenings on the home front.  We are getting the house painted (not easy finding the right paint color) and beginning on a bunch of yard projects we hope to get done this summer.

Our biggest challenge these days is our evenings.  There is so much going on in the evenings with dance and gymnastics and baseball that we are gone pretty much everyday at dinner time.  So I'm trying to have dinner ready when Tyler gets home from school and just have snacks later.  Some days it works and others it doesn't.  Since all our activities are now in the evening Hailey and I have lots of one and one time during the days, especially the days she doesn't have school.

And now we are off to May (or actually almost half way through now.....lacking free time).  May is sure to be filled with lots of baseball and other Spring activities.
